The Obrerita Beekeeping Cooperative formed two years ago and already has an apiary with thirty hives. Currently, the cooperative is a member of the Beekeepers' Roundtable of Matagalpa and maintains good relationships with other cooperatives and beekeepers in the region. In its two years of experience, the cooperative has had a lot of success. But it has not been able to access financing to expand its apiary and increase | its volume of production.
With this investment of c$77000, the cooperative will be able to add 30 hives to its apiary and buy new protective suits. The hives will double the cooperative's production and the suits wll allow more beekeepers to work in the apiary at the same time. The cooperative already has a lot of experience in managing the apiary and should be able to return our investment within two years. |
