Crometal is a recovered cooperative engaged in the production of industrial shelving and scaffolding whose earlier mark, Acrow, was well known. Since we started working with them in 2005 their production has increased sharply, doubling the number of workers and their improving competitiveness. At the beginning of our relationship with there were 18 workers. Currently there are 35.
With the 33 loans the cooperative and La Base have established a close relationship. Crometal has grown enormously. The challenges they have been facing are constantly changing. |
Currently the cooperative is experiencing difficulties caused by the crisis that has especially hit producers of durable goods whose demand tends to grow in times of economic expansion. The orders have become more irregular and the payment periods were stretched. It should be noted that over the last loan we see a tendency to stabilize demand at a relatively high point comparing to the start of the year but the union continues to suffer the consequences of the slowdown in October. That is why they requested checks cashing under the credit line of cash. |
