Crometal is a cooperative in Berazategui, Province of Buenos Aires, making industrial shelves and scaffolding for construction. Their prior brand, Acrow, was very well known. Since we started to work with them in 2005 they have increased production enormously, has duplicated the amount of workers from 18 to 36 and has strongly improved its competivity. THrough 21 loans, the coop and La Base have cemented a close and trusting relationship. Crometal has made enormous progress | and the type of challenges that have risen have changed constantly in many ways including scale, even getting to the point where they take La Base's loaning capacity to the limit. At this time the coop is having some delays in production because of failure in a machine, which added to the slowdown of demand over the summer produces a financial gap that the coop can solve by changing checks into cash with La BAse at an interest rate that doesn't affect their profitability. |
