Crometal is a recovered factory dedicated to the production of scaffolding. Since La Base started working with them in 2005, they have grown enormously, improving production and doubling the number of worker-owners, from 18 to 35.
Over the course of 14 loans La Base and Crometal have developed a very close relationship. Crometal has grown enormously in this | time, and with it the times of challenges they face have changed, to the point where it is now difficult for La Base to always lend a hand.
In this moment the cooperative is suffering fallout from the crisis, which has hit producers of durable goods particularly hard.
This liquidity line will permit the cooperative to pay out weekly worker shares. |
